ABOUT THE COURSE

This course provides the students an overview to the construction industry and its various methods and materials, safety codes, equipment, documents, agencies and laws. Both residential and commercial construction are covered. The roles of engineers, architects and contractors play in a project’s design and construction are also introduced, along with a series of skills currently in high demand in the trade. This is the course for starting a career as a handyman.

Objective

The Program prepares students for employment in the construction industry as superintendents, project managers, and assistants: building inspectors, estimators, plan examiners, and schedulers. The courses emphasize fundamentals and techniques of building construction management.
